Transmission Line Fire Mesh Installation

Maple Leaf Power Corporation completed wildfire protective mesh installation on 452 wood transmission structures in the Kootenay region of BC. Mesh was applied from the base of each pole to a specified height to reduce ignition risk from both direct flame contact and airborne ember accumulation — two of the primary pathways through which wood transmission poles are lost during wildfire events.
