Distribution Line Construction & Three-Phase Conversion — Northwest Territories
Maple Leaf Power Corporation delivered a distribution line construction and conversion project in Łutsël K'é, Northwest Territories. The scope included construction of a new 2km distribution line connecting to an existing power plant, and conversion of an existing single-phase line to three-phase across 73 structures, improving power supply capacity and reliability for the community.
Working in Canada's north requires careful logistical planning, equipment preparation, and an understanding of the environmental and operational conditions unique to remote northern communities. The project was completed safely and to the utility's specifications.
