Distribution Fire Mesh Installation — BC Southern Interior

Maple Leaf Power Corporation completed wildfire protective mesh installation on 942 wood distribution poles across the Southern Interior service territory in 2025. Mesh was applied from the base of each pole to a specified height, providing protection against both direct flame contact and airborne ember accumulation across a distribution network that spans some of BC's highest wildfire risk terrain. Delivering a program of this scale required careful crew deployment and safety management across a geographically dispersed set of work sites. All structures were completed safely, on schedule, and to specifications.
